Our “Why”
The idea behind Crook Point Brewing was inspired by a man that for decades gave endless attention to his family. Time spent together with family and friends was his greatest gift and a reward to those who knew him. To honor his memory here at Crook Point Brewing, we strive to share that enthusiasm by providing a family friendly experience and creating a welcoming space that allows guests to spend time with old friends while making new ones.
What We Do
Coming from a family of builders, engineering and artistry were always intertwined. At Crook Point Brewing we’ve adopted the phrase “With willing hearts and skillful hands, the difficult we do at once, the impossible takes a bit longer” in honor of the Seabees. Our journey at Crook Point Brewing is the beginning of a new chapter for us and hopefully all of you. The beer we brew is reflective of our commitment to the craft, the community and ourselves.
The Space
Purchased in 2019 but originally built in the late 1930’s-40 as a hammer factory, the space has had many uses throughout the years. Upon entering the brewery foyer you will be struck with examples of reclaimed materials from the original building. What was once a large machine shop full of industrial equipment has been transformed into a Common Area that still incorporates the concrete milling pedestals, barnboard service bar, and reclaimed maple accents. Guests can choose to enjoy the Tap Room overlooking the brewhouse or the more tranquil water view spaces. From the pine walls to the beamed ceilings and hardwood floors our event space will have you feeling right at home. The Riverside Room overlooking the Seekonk River, Crook Point Bridge and Red Bridge provides a 180* view of the East Side. The larger abutting space is the Rumford Room which is a part of the original hammer factory. The most recent use was as a print and design shop and you can still see original acrylic paint stains on the hardwood floor. The Rumford room also has a large deck with integrated seating to enhance your outdoor experience.
